Sheboygan County Warming Center
About
The Sheboygan County Warming Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides safe, warm, low-barrier shelter for single adults experiencing homelessness during the cold winter months from November through April. Founded in 2017 by community member Ken Rishel and developed in collaboration with local church members and the Salvation Army, the center operates daily from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., offering guests warm meals, breakfast, and essential support services. Beyond emergency shelter, the organization partners with community resources to help individuals achieve permanent housing and self-sufficiency, and also operates the Herb Kohler & Natalie Black Community Cafe to serve the broader community.
