Salvation Army

The Salvation Army in Stevens Point is an international evangelical Christian organization located at 1600 Briggs Street that operates the Hope Center, a shelter providing housing, meals, and basic hygiene resources to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Established in Stevens Point in 1989 with its shelter opening in 1991, the organization has served the community since relocating to its current location in 1996. Beyond emergency shelter services, the Salvation Army offers case management, job search assistance, substance abuse counseling, food pantries, and financial assistance programs while welcoming community members to participate through volunteer opportunities and support groups.
