The Ruth House

The Ruth House is a faith-based nonprofit ministry located at 632 Grand Avenue in Superior, Wisconsin, that provides emergency overnight shelter and daytime supportive services to people experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness. Operating under Walking Victorious Ministries, the organization offers amenities including showers, laundry facilities, GED tutoring, job search assistance, and housing support, with capacity for up to 50 overnight guests when temperatures drop to 30 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. Founded in December 2018, the Ruth House has become a vital community resource in Superior’s north end, relying on volunteer staff and community donations to serve residents of Douglas and Burnett counties.
