The Village of Waukesha is a municipal government located at W250 S3567 Center Road in Waukesha, Wisconsin, serving approximately 8,457 residents across 23 square miles in Waukesha County. Originally incorporated in 1852 as a settlement known as Prairieville before being renamed Waukesha, the village re-incorporated as a village in 2020 following a community referendum. The Village of Waukesha’s mission is to provide a semi-rural living environment while maintaining essential services and affordable tax rates through balanced land use planning.
