Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative

Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in West Allis, Wisconsin, dedicated to enabling homeless and at-risk veterans to reach and maintain their highest level of independence. Founded and run by veterans in 2008, MHVI has served thousands of veterans and their families in Southeastern Wisconsin through programs including emergency food assistance, case management, the Bikes for Stripes bicycle program, and the WOVIN women veterans wellness initiative. The organization has earned a 4-star rating on Charity Navigator and partners with the Veterans Administration, Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, and other community agencies to fill service gaps for vulnerable veteran populations.
