South Wood County Emergency Pantry Shelf – Food Distribution Center
About
The South Wood County Emergency Pantry Shelf (SWEPS) was established in 1975 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to provide emergency food assistance to area residents in crisis situations. Located at 2321 W Grand Avenue, SWEPS is a nonprofit food distribution center that serves residents throughout South Wood County, including Wisconsin Rapids, Port Edwards, Nekoosa, and surrounding communities. In February 2020, SWEPS merged with The Neighborhood Table and Rapids Family Backpacks to form FOCUS (Feeding Our Communities with United Services), creating a unified nonprofit organization that provides food pantry services, hygiene products, educational resources, and community meals to thousands of households annually in the region.
