Sheridan Food Forest
About
Established in 2016 in collaboration with the City of Sheridan and the Powder River Basin Resource Council, the Sheridan Food Forest is a community garden that provides free access to organically grown fruits, vegetables, and native plants. Located along Big Goose Creek near Thorne Rider Park, the food forest features native Wyoming plants, fruit trees, and vegetables that community members can freely forage, along with a Northern Cheyenne medicinal plant garden added in 2023 in partnership with Piney Island Native Plants.
